“The most important message is that the service is excellent! I attended Derby Registry office to register the death of my wife. An appointment was made and the meeting took place at the appointed time. The Registrar was excellent, most understanding, compassionate and supportive.

 

The Tell Us Once service was explained and completed in a matter of a few minutes. Of course, at the time I did not realise how much time, money and administration this service would save me but having all of the ‘agencies’ notified from a single contact was superb. I soon started to receive acknowledgements from the agencies, Amber Valley Borough Council contacted me about changing my Council Tax to a single person residency which was completed without fuss and without any real effort on my part.

Having proved such a success in its first release the TUO New Business team is looking to expand what is being done for the citizen to even more private and public sectors. as Steve Scott, head of TUO New Business said; “There are so many directions our expansion plans could take that we need to understand the  full implications of each one….”
