Windows Phone 8 Emulator

So you have downloaded the Windows 8 Phone SDK and coded a nice Windows 8 Phone application. When you try to run it from Visual Studio and you get the following error:

"The Windows Phone Emulator wasn't able to set some properties on the virtual machine: Couldn't change Memory of the virtual machine: Error code 32775"

Its just typical, “Why does this always happen to me?” I hear you say. Many solutions for this error  talk about interference from your anti-virus software. Sounds like a plan - lets just turn it off. Only joking...this is a ridiculous suggestion and one that is unnecessary.

In Visual Studio go to the Debug menu and select another option for the emulator , I am sure that one of these will be run-able without turning off your anti-virus.

W8Phone

The emulator simulates different screen resolutions and memory constraints. The default emulator is Emulator WVGA 512MB which runs a memory constrained Windows Pone 8 phone, which is covers the largest market usage.

Whilst this is not 100% ideal it will allow you to do some testing before deploying your app to a device for real.
